Ascension

Chakra Balancing

Energy centers in the body, each linked to physical, emotional, and spiritual states. Terms like “blocked throat chakra” or “opening the heart chakra” are common in yoga and energy healing.

Chanting and Rituals

Chanting and rituals are prevalent practices in various cultural, spiritual, and wellness traditions, involving repetitive vocal expression of words, sounds, or mantras, rhythmically and musically. Rituals are structured, often symbolic actions performed in a specific order.

Conscious Living

Living with intentional awareness of your thoughts, actions, and values. It means making choices aligned with personal integrity, emotional insight, and social responsibility rather than operating on autopilot.

Dana (Generosity)

Giving freely without expectation, a key virtue in Buddhist ethics.

Mantras

A mantra is a word, sound, or phrase repeated during meditation, prayer, or daily practice to focus the mind, shift energy, or cultivate inner awareness.

Meditation

A mental practice that trains attention and awareness, often through breath focus, mantras, or mindfulness. It fosters emotional calm, clarity, and inner stability, and is used across spiritual, therapeutic, and secular contexts.

Reiki

A Japanese energy-healing practice where gentle touch or hand movements are used to channel energy, aiming to promote relaxation and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Shadow Work

Exploring and integrating the unconscious or “darker” parts of the self—like fears, shame, or suppressed emotions. It’s a key concept in Jungian psychology and spiritual healing.

Soul Tribe

A Soul Tribe is more than just close friends or supportive colleagues—it’s a community of individuals who feel familiar, even if you’ve just met. Many in conscious living circles believe these connections are part of a soul contract or spiritual journey, sometimes tied to past lives or shared healing missions.

Sound Healing

Sound healing involves immersing oneself in sound vibrations, often through instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, or drums – to stimulate relaxation and healing. These sessions are commonly called sound baths, where participants lie down and allow the sounds to “wash over” them.

Third Eye

The intuitive center located between the eyebrows, associated with insight, inner vision, and spiritual perception. “Opening the third eye” is a metaphor for awakening deeper awareness.

Viking

The Vikings were seafaring people from Scandinavia (modern-day Norway, Sweden, and Denmark) who lived during the late 8th to 11th centuries. They were known for: Exploration and raiding across Europe, Skilled shipbuilding and navigation, Trading and settling in new lands. They left a lasting impact on European culture, language, and history.

Yoga

An ancient Indian discipline combining physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation to unite body, mind, and spirit. Beyond fitness, it’s a path to self-awareness and spiritual liberation.

Yoga Nidra

Also called “yogic sleep,” this is a guided meditation that induces deep relaxation while maintaining conscious awareness. Practiced lying down, it helps release tension, reduce anxiety, and access subconscious healing.

Yin Yang

Yin and Yang are complementary forces in Chinese philosophy that represent balance, duality, and the dynamic interplay of opposites in nature and life. Yin is passive, dark, and feminine; Yang is active, bright, and masculine. Together, they form a unified whole.

Cosmology

Cosmology is the scientific study of the origin, structure, evolution, and future of the universe. Cosmology combines physics, astronomy, and mathematics to understand the universe as a whole.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury retrograde is an astrological period when the planet Mercury appears to move backward in the sky, symbolizing a time of reflection, miscommunication, and disruption in areas like technology, travel, and decision-making. It occurs 3–4 times a year, each lasting about three weeks.
