Heather Ensworth has long been a calm, insightful voice in the world, blending her knowledge in the fields of psychology, astrology and cultural anthropology. She demystifies both the academic and esoteric beautifully and I’ve enjoyed listening to her YouTube videos for years. When she put “Astrological Ages and The Galactic Center” out into the world early this year, I knew it would be one to share with our readers here at Odyssey.

Subtitled “Ancient Wisdom for This Time of Transition”, the book holds so much for both those just exploring the concept of moving into a new age, and others who desire a deeper dive into all our universe holds. The foreword, written by Barbara Hand Clow, sums up this epic volume so well: “This concise and complex book is a page-turner. It delivers the long records of time, a data bank that inspired humanity until a few thousand years ago when it was forgotten during the nebulous Piscean Age. This is the guidance we need for the Age of Aquarius.”

Indeed.

As Heather moves through topics like living through transformation, seeking the wisdom of the past and exploring the archetypal themes of the ages over the past twelve thousand years, she beautifully weaves indigenous wisdom and the mythology of ancient civilizations through the shifts of consciousness our universe has moved through over time. In this sense, Astrological Ages is a master class in what has been. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to understand more about how we, as a world, came to be here and what the journey has entailed. Ms. Ensworth is a consummate storyteller – always – and this book is no exception, bringing so much wisdom to light in an easy accessible format.

In these times of much shifting and massive change, the third part of the book will undoubtedly hold great interest for our readers. Titled “Understanding This Time of Transformation and Movement into Higher Consciousness “, this section takes a look at guidance from the cosmos, our galactic center and navigating the shifts we find ourselves experiencing. Heather walks us through what is possible in a way that is reassuring, mind opening and inspiring. She creates hope with words like “The Earth and sky are speaking to us and calling us back to this deeper wisdom and awareness. If we listen, perhaps we will come back into right relationship, find our center, and begin to live out of a galactic and embodied consciousness beyond anything we have ever known. “

The book ends with “Honouring the Journey and Stepping off the Wheel”, an eloquent summary of all the wisdom the book contains, a reminder that “the Earth herself is awakening, healing and transforming”, and an exquisitely lyrical call to each of us asking that we join with our collective consciousness and bring ourselves fully to all that is possible. I hope you’ll find solace, inspiration and comfort in Heather Ensworth’s words, then share them widely. I know I will.
