Editor’s Note: Spring/Summer Edition no. 251

“Wow! What a Ride! “

After seven eventful and uplifting years, it’s time for me to step out of the ‘Mag Trade’ as the custodian and editor of Odyssey Magazine.

It has been a profound joy and an incredible privilege to serve you, the wellness sector and our conscious living communities. I am fiercely proud of the stories we’ve published together, the conversations we’ve sparked and the paradigms we have shifted.

I want to thank you all for your unwavering support, whether it has been as a thought leader, writer, advertiser, service provider or reader. I so appreciate you and your unwavering commitment to Odyssey Magazine. Your passion for living gently, kindly and more consciously has been a source of great inspiration and a testament to the power of shared ideas.

It is with great excitement that I announce your new custodian, Christa Buthelezi, multiply published author, passionate wellness advocate, creative visionary and digital strategy doyenne, who will undoubtedly take this already sought-after publication, that is Odyssey Magazine, to the pinnacle of its creative and editorial potential.

I have no doubt that Christa’s vision and dedication will continue the powerful 49-year- and 250-edition-strong legacy that speaks for itself.  As you are probably already aware, Odyssey will be published as a print magazine in March and September/October of each year and the already solid digital drive will be significantly increased from 2026.

Gratitude for walking beside me on this our collective human odyssey and I ask that you join me in supporting Christa, Odyssey Magazine and her amazing team which includes our very own Quinton O’Dwyer, as it enters this exciting new chapter.

“Hold on!  This ride just got a whole heap better”

I will be retaining the KwazuluSpirit Festival™ brand continuing to celebrate consciousness with you.  The entire KSF Team are ecstatic to be bringing you the KwazuluSpirit 2026, 30 and 31 May, at the spectacular Salt Rock Hotel. They invited us back and it was an unequivocal YES! More good news … we will be including a Mindful Market, Saturday 30 May 2026.
