Keith Shiri is a Zimbabwean-born international film curator and long-time programme advisor, serving as the Africa regional advisor to the BFI London Film Festival for over 20 years. Since 2021, he has worked with the UN’s International Trade Centre as an expert in film business development, supporting Caribbean film companies with project development, marketing, and international co-production opportunities.

He is the Regional Secretary (Europe) for FEPACI and a visiting research fellow at the University of Westminster’s Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM). A published author on African cinema, he recently joined Books of Africa as a director, focusing on translating and publishing works by influential African filmmakers including Ousmane Sembène.

With over three decades of experience across five continents, Shiri has curated and advised for festivals and institutions such as the Luxor African Film Festival, Tarifa African Film Festival, TIFF’s “City to City: Lagos” programme, Africa at the Pictures, the Southern African Film Festival, and the Sharjah Biennial. He previously programmed the Tokyo African Film Festival and advised Focus Features’ Africa First initiative (2008–2013), and served on the Berlinale World Cinema Fund jury (2004–2007).
