Sacred Andean Tradition in South Africa

by | Digitorials, Print Articles, Summer 2024

The Incas have been revered throughout history for their deep wisdom and profound connection to the elements and all the energy they make manifest. This knowledge was acquired over many centuries throughout the world, especially in the Andes mountains of South America. The seat of the Incan empire was in Cusco, Peru and, as such, the most prevalent continuation of The Sacred Andean Tradition can be found there. This sacred knowledge and understanding has been shared with all who are eager to grow, spiritually and consciously, throughout South America.

However, since 1999, Kamaq Wageaq has been visiting South Africa annually to pass on these teachings and to fulfil a prophecy of building an energetic bridge between Africa and the Andes.

Over the last few years many more people have been feeling a calling to gain a deeper understanding, to empower themselves to do better and, more importantly, be better. The Sacred Andean Tradition is a safe space where we learn about what goes on underneath and above all that we perceive in our physical world. We do this by understanding the elements; Earth, water, air and fire. Once we understand how to work with these energies we equip ourselves with the tools to heal our own trauma and blockages (be they mental, emotional or spiritual) and to help others with this sacred wisdom. Most traditions speak of only four elements as above, but in The Sacred Andean Tradition we speak of the fifth one – Munay or unconditional love.

It is the main focus of The Sacred Andean Tradition to teach us how to work with the elements and the wisdom they possess in order for us to find a deeper understanding of unconditional love, the place where we must always live and act from. Additionally we are taught principles to follow so that, by simply living in the world, we are able to bring harmony, kindness, honesty, reciprocity and love to our homes, communities and the world at large.

We are also taught about The Sacred Andean Tradition’s most sacred tool, the chakana. This symbol encompasses all knowledge and wisdom known by the ancient Incas and is used to find a greater understanding of all that is, was and will be.

Master Kamaq Wageaq brings his infinite knowledge, extraordinary understanding and, importantly, his cheeky sense of humour to South Africa every year, when anyone is welcome to attend his five-day workshop, culminating in a Karpay (energy transfer) to jump-start your pursuit of a higher consciousness. These workshops are filled with ‘older’ brothers and sisters of The Sacred Andean Tradition, ones who are already initiated at various levels in the tradition, to support you during and after. What you will find at these workshops is knowledge, kindness and a new perspective on life itself.

I humbly invite you to join us in March 2025 for this life -changing experience in the Magaliesberg, where we will submerse ourselves in the beauty of nature and the cosmos. Feel free to contact us for more information: www.sacredandeantradition.com
