The world has been turned upside-down with the advent of the global pandemic.  Physical illness, fear, stress levels, depression and general suffering have increased to highs that we have not seen in our lifetimes.  All of these have impacts on our body/mind wellness.  Our own health is ultimately our own responsibility and how we sort through all of this and remain healthy is a question that many are asking.

What is BodyTalk?
BodyTalk is a consciousness-based professional healthcare system that accelerates the body’s healing process and assists in preventing disease.  BodyTalkis a holistic healthcare system, which is designed to work with and support your body’s own natural ability to repair and restore itself. A BodyTalk session is designed to re-establish and reconnect the lines of communication which enable the body’s internal mechanisms to function at optimal level. BodyTalk does not diagnose or prescribe medication but works with the individual on an energetic level.

How can BodyTalk help you?
The body is designed to be a self-healing, self-regulating mechanism that is constantly repairing and replacing cells.  When a small cut is made in the skin, the body will naturally mobilise the necessary mechanisms to repair this, with no intervention from you. So why are we seeing so many auto-immune and ‘incurable’ illnesses in our world and a virus that our immune system is seemingly unable to contain?  The answer is the breakdown in communication between systems and what may be seen as an obvious problem may not be the first thing that your body needs to be addressing.  Ultimately treating symptoms of disease is only a compromise.  The real power in healing lies in the discovery of the story behind the symptoms. In BodyTalk we ask for the priority that needs to be addressed, rather than “What is the problem?”

A BodyTalk practitioner uses bio-muscular feedback, to bypass all that we believe and think we are to access our innate wisdom and uncover the story behind the symptoms, which are often events that we had seemingly forgotten.  Each person’s story is different and no two individuals are the same; therefore each session is specific to the individual.

As a WholeHealthcare™ system, BodyTalk acknowledges the profound influence the psychology of the body has on our health.  We generally think of psychology as relating only to the mind; however, every part of the body has specific emotions and beliefs that are associated with it.  These emotions and beliefs, as well as any environmental, bio-chemical, and ancestral factors, must also be addressed for disease to be resolved.

From the time that we are conceived, we experience and internalise the world around us.  We are programmed by our environment and the people around us and this is filtered, using our own unique blueprint of potential, through our senses. In short, living beings are complex creatures.  Factor into this the number of processes we are not consciously aware of that our bodies perform all the time and how they all need to work together for ultimate health.  Should any one of these lines of communication be compromised, an imbalance will occur. Often the issue being presented could be the ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ and a whole host of issues, both physical and emotional, are lying below the surface. They may seem unrelated but, when recognised and cleared, in the order that the body/mind indicates, they may help to clear the disease, issue or challenge that is being faced.  A trained BodyTalk practitioner is perfectly trained to assist individuals in identifying and clearing these.  Regular BodyTalk sessions will also assist in preventing potential issues from arising.

BodyTalk is designed to integrate all fields of healthcare to create a more holistic approach to health and wellbeing.  This may include the necessity to refer the client on to another healthcare practitioner or field of healthcare when necessary.

BodyTalk practitioners are required to do continued education and, as such, are constantly integrating and learning new cutting-edge information.  To ensure that your practitioner is qualified and registered with both the International BodyTalk Association and the South African BodyTalk Association, please check https://www.bodytalksystem.com/practitioners/ and https://bodytalksystem.co.za/practitioners/

A career in BodyTalk
Becoming a BodyTalk practitioner is one of the most rewarding careers to have. Not only are you assisting in the healthcare of people, animals and/or the environment, but you are also continuously improving your own health and wellbeing. The BodyTalk system practitioner training has no pre-requisites and anyone can learn how to become a BodyTalk practitioner. Interestingly, many medical professionals have also decided to study BodyTalk as it allows for a more holistic patient view. The courses are self-contained and you will learn everything you need to know through the IBA course work. Becoming a certified BodyTalk practitioner is a way to build a professional practice that fits into your life however you would like it to. Whether full-time, part-time, or just for friends and family, the training and perspective you will gain with the International BodyTalk Association (IBA) will change the way you view healthcare forever, with training in more than 40 countries worldwide, where thousands of certified practitioners have been qualified in the last 21 years.

Steps to follow in becoming a certified BodyTalk practitioner

STEP SIX: Either attend BodyTalk fundamentals for a second time, at a reduced cost, OR take the BodyTalk fundamentals integration class with any CBI.

STEP SEVENSit your Exam. Take and pass the oral and written examinations with a minimum pass rate of 90 per cent.

NOTE: You will be required to sign the CBP agreement on passing your exam. It is important to note that you may not practise as a practitioner without having a current IBA membership. It is also important to be aware that, to maintain CBP status, you need to complete 32 CEU (Continued Education Units) every two years and adhere to the Code of Ethics.
